Cologne Cathedral

Not so long ago, I climbed to the very top of the Kölner Dom (Cologne Cathedral). All of us AustauschSchüler (Exchange students) that live near Köln (Cologne) all met up to do this together. There was about 533 steps to get to the top and higher that you climb you start to notice that the steps cave in a little bit. When we finally got to the top after looking at the view

we noticed that everybody has written all over the walls. Though it was a pity to see all the of the writing to see writing all over the place I was excited to find "CBYX of 2012" and "Afs # 49".

After finishing walking around the top we went down to see the huge bell, which happend to start ringing right as we got to it. I was the loudest thing I have ever heard, I could feel my whole body vibrating. 

while journeying back down the stairs we found a random hole in the wall, of corse I had to stop for a photo. After that we all stopped for an eis (Ice cream) and the visited the bridge with all the locks. (The story is that people put a lock on the bridge, they symbolize their love for each other and then they throw the key way into the Rhein River)
